Works
of art bestow immense satisfaction and serenity from beauty they
provide to the admirer. Supplying these articles however is the
difficult part of the equation. The types of objects depicted here
are far too complex to afford the luxury of delegation of duties.
Consequently, they cannot be produced quickly or on any kind of
scale.
For
the purchaser, consideration must also be given to colour and finish.
When possible a wood should be selected which naturally supplies
these qualities. For example; if you wanted something dark and rich,
one should probably think about walnut. This way you can concentrate
on a finish that will bring out the beauty of the wood rather than
staining it to a particular colour. Staining tends to cover and
hide the grain rather than enhance it.
